We work with children, parents, external agencies and the community to ensure the welfare and safety of children and to give them the very best start in life.

Designated safeguarding leads

The nursery has a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.

The DSL is the person appointed to take lead responsibility for child protection issues in Nursery.

Raising a safeguarding concern

It can be difficult to know what to do if you think a child is at risk. It’s important to remember that if you’ve spotted things that don’t seem right, others will have too. Speaking up can make sure that a child gets help as soon as possible.

Please do not delay in speaking to the Nursery Designated Safeguarding Lead.

For out of hours emergencies, contact the Local Authority Children’s Social Care Duty Team. They are available 24 hours a day and can make an anonymous report if that feels safer.
