We recognise that safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and older people is the responsibility of everyone. This means that everyone who comes into contact with children, older people and their families has a role to play. In order to fulfil this responsibility effectively, all colleagues working in the nursery make sure their approach is child and person-centred. At all times, they place the child and older person at the centre of thinking and do what is in their best interests.
